The visit starts with the question that decides everything else: is surgery the right answer for you now? If the loss is still active and untreated, a transplant placed into a thinning area can look worse within two years, and that is explained before anything is booked. If you are a candidate, you get a graft estimate by zone, a drawn hairline and a clear description of the recovery ahead of you.

FUE, DHI and Sapphire: how the technique is chosen

All three techniques used at HairX move individual follicular units from the donor area at the back and sides of the head to the areas that have thinned. They differ in how the grafts are placed. In FUE, the grafts are extracted one by one and placed into small channels that are opened beforehand. In DHI, each graft is loaded into an implanter pen and placed directly, so extraction and implantation are closer together and the surrounding hair can often be kept longer. In the Sapphire method, the channels are opened with sapphire blades, which allows a finer incision and closer placement where density is the priority.

Dr. Kabil only reaches the question of technique once candidacy is settled. If the loss is still active, the answer may be medical treatment first and surgery later, whatever the technique. Once a transplant is the right step, the choice between FUE, DHI and Sapphire follows the stage of the loss and the areas to be covered: an early receding hairline and an advanced pattern with a thinning crown do not call for the same approach, and the plan says which is proposed and why.
